Installation Instructions - IPS Ducting

BUILDING THE IPS CARCASS´╗┐
Measure the area for the IPS ducting to ensure that the dimensions are correct compared to the Atlas Washrooms Drawings. If there are any discrepancies, please contact Atlas Washrooms to discuss. The depth of the ducting required will be required to be confirmed with on-site Plumbers in order to accomodate services (Atlas Washrooms standard depth is 300mm, this will accomodate most cistern/pan arrangements)Build timber frame with vertical battens at centres as shown on Atlas Washrooms drawings. Min 2" x 2" Timber agianst wall and floor and and vertically at centres of cubicles/panel splits. One length of timber will need to be put in horizontallylevel with proposed suspended ceiling height) Install the base flash gap (150mm Wide Generally) - Cut to length and screw to timbers (Note :- Will need to put some additional timber noggins in to ensure that no screws are shown once panels are mounted). Ensure that screws are more than 100mm AFFL and more than 30mm from side walls or cubicle centres when installing flash gap strips.Repeat above step for to topp flash gap (Note :- If installing a suspended ceiling, you will need to allow 30-40mm of flash gap above the proposed ceiling height on which to mount the ceiling shadow batten).Vertical Battens can then be measured and cut to length following the same procedure as above. The half of the clip which needs to be installed on the carcass can now be installed.

Installation Instructions - Toilet & Shower Cubicles

  1. Assess area for installation of cubicles, noting any gradient on the floor or walls in order that this can be taken into account during installation.
  2. Using a Plumline or spirit level, align and mark the required position of the first cubicle divider on the rear wall or IPS duct panelling system.  Dimensions for the widths of cubicles will be given on the Atlas Washrooms drawings supplied with the project.
  3. Mark & Drill holes for the position of the brackets on the rear wall/ducting.  Generally brackets are placed at approximately  200mm from the top and bottom of the divider and one in the centre (350mm, 975mm & 1750mm AFFL).
  4. Once the holes have been drilled, insert the wall plugs flush with the front of the hole and secure bracket using supplied fixing screws.
  5. Move cubicle divide panel into place and secure leg to it using fixings provided in the leg hardware pack (See Atlas Washroom Fittings Info)
  6. Fix divide panel in place by ensuring that it is level across the top and that the bottom of the panel is nominally 150mm AFFL (actual figure may vary depending on any slope in the floor).  Once this is the case, drill the panel through the eye of the bracket using a 9.5mm Drill bit and secure using supplied T-Nuts and grub screws.
  7. Repeat Steps 1-6 to fix additional cubicle dividers as required for specific installation.
  8. Secure 3 No Brackets to the rear of the cen
