Wren Kitchens Distribution Centre, Barton-Upon-Humber

Atlas was approached to manufacture, supply and install all new cubicles, IPS, and vanity units for this 1 million square foot warehouse in Barton Upon Humber. With over 1200 staff using the facilities daily it needed to be a robust and hard-wearing system that would be able to stand the test of time.

After dialogue with the contractor’s design team and reviewing the architect’s specification, our Tempest Range was put forward as the system of choice with it being made out of Solid Grade Laminate. SGL has been at the forefront of the washroom industry in recent years as it is fully waterproof, promotes hygienic properties and will stand up to the wear and tear in a high traffic environment.

The first phase of this project involved a ‘first fix’ of all areas – throughout this process our installation team build their softwood timber carcass on site which forms the frame for the IPS and vanity units. We then installed the bottom two IPS panels and vanity worktops and cut out the holes for sanitaryware to be installed.

The second and final phase of this project was our ‘second fix’ works – once all floor and ceiling works had been completed (by other contractors) we started the installation of our toilet cubicles, top panels and vanity under panels which completed the areas.

As standard practice our site team walked the areas with our customer to ensure everyone was happy with the job and the areas signed over.
